Fluvanna County Public Schools
School buses pick up children inside Lake Monticello. Fluvanna County Public Schools consists of five schools.
Preschool to Second Grade:
Columbia Elementary and Cunningham Elementary
Central Elementary:
Kindergarten though Fifth Grade
Fluvanna Middle School:
Sixth through Eighth Grade
Fluvanna High School:
Ninth through Twelfth Grade
The total enrollment for 2005-2006 is over 3,600. A 3.5% increase from last year. All schools are equipped with learning disability instructors and special education programs.
Students at Fluvanna High can optionally sign up for advanced classes from CATEC in Charlottesville and Piedmont Virginia Community College.

Fluvanna County Private Schools
Open Door Christina School:
Located off Rt 15 in Troy, it serves children from kindergarten through twelfth grade who want solid academic education in a Christina environment. Currently the school has an enrollment of over 200.

Oakland School:
Oakland is an internationally recognized educational boarding and day school for students that suffer with learning disabilities. Student admission is targeted children between the ages of eight to fourteen.
